Cornell Summer Research and Leadership Program
Background: My province of birth is Lower Saxony located in the North of Germany. Around this realm I grew up and went through our school system. For one year though, I encountered life at a High school near Melbourne, which left a great impression on me. Eventually I took up a course of veterinary medicine at the University of Veterinary Medicine Foundation in Hannover.
Interests: Besides my studies I perform in athletic sports. Throughout the last years I have specialised on running middle distances, training regularly in order to prepare for competitions. Moreover I will not miss an opportunity to go free diving or climbing, as I really enjoy the outdoors. Then again, a good relaxant to me might be guitar music.
Career Goal: As research is the essential requirement to improve a conventional status, I find lots of things to get into progress. I feel contented to play a role in Natural sciences, especially dealing with animals and work for the contribution of some advances, maybe in therapy approaches. In particular I am fascinated by interdisciplinary enquiries, luckily being served well through my studies. I'm sure that the leadership program will teach us some routine and self confidence in facing and solving a scientific question, holding the appropriated methods at hand.
