University of Minnesota
I grew up in a small town in the mountains of Northern California. I attended Saint Mary’s College of California where I had the privilege of conducting an independent research project investigating the incidence of Equine Herpesvirus 2 in nasopharyngeal swabs of Northern California horses. From St. Mary’s, I received a B.S. in Biology. After graduation, I made the long trip to St. Paul to attend veterinary school at the University of Minnesota where I just completed my first year.
I love to run, hike, kayak, and spend as much time outdoors as possible. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and would love the chance to travel more.
I really enjoy working with large animals. Yet, currently, I am exploring a career in research and academia. I am considering applying to the Combined DVM/PhD program and am hoping that my summer at Cornell will help me direct my interests and further define my goals
