University of Sydney
My home town is Wollongong, a coastal city south of Sydney. I completed a BSc (Hons) at the University of Wollongong specialising in Cellular and Molecular Biology, followed by a few years working in a medical research laboratory. I applied to study Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney to learn about the clinical application of science and hope to graduate at the end of this year.
I grew up on the beaches surrounding Wollongong and have been a member of my local Surf Life Saving Club for many years. I love sports and was a competitive swimmer when I was younger and am still a qualified swim coach. I keep fit with swimming, running and playing hockey. I also train my dogs in the sport of agility.
I hope to learn through the Cornell Veterinary Leadership Program how I can combine my new clinical skills with my interest in research.
