I grew up in Aurora, New York, a small town in the Finger Lakes. I completed my undergraduate degree at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire, with a focus in Biology and Natural Sciences. I spent the summer following my graduation working in a research laboratory at Cornell, and found the experience to be incredibly inspiring. I was fortunate to spend two subsequent years as a part of a research laboratory with a focus on infectious and genetic etiologies of renal disease.
I enjoy hiking, camping, horseback riding, road trips, and most especially, spending time with my two year old niece.
Following completion of my Veterinary degree, I plan to pursue internship and residency training, and ultimately a PhD. I am especially drawn to the field of small animal internal medicine. I hope to develop a career in veterinary academia incorporating teaching, research, and clinical practice.
