I graduated with a B.S. in Biology from Tufts University. I then worked as a senior research support specialist at the Center for Functional Genomics (CFG) at SUNY Albany for several years before deciding to pursue a career change into veterinary medicine. During my time working in CFG's Transgenics department, my responsibilities included lending support for research involving pronuclear injection, tissue culture, and laser capture microdissection.
At this point my interests lie within small animal medicine (general practice, oncology, and surgery) and lab animal medicine (specifially geared towards cancer research). At Cornell, I currently serve as one of our SCAVMA Social Chairs, and I am active in both the Vet Players (our vet student theatrical group) and the Pet Loss Support Hotline volunteer group.
