I was raised in a suburb of central New Jersey. I went to the University of Delaware for my undergraduate education where I received a B.S in Pre-veterinary Medicine and Biosciences. During my undergraduate career I began exploring my interests in research by conducting projects on Marek's Disease Virus, Emergency Mass Mortality Composting, and Immunology.
Outside of Veterinary medicine, my interests include participating in charitable organizations, development of entrepreneur skills, and reading non-fiction. I thoroughly enjoy cooking, and use it as a stress reliever from the demands of the DVM curriculum.
In the future, I hope to have a career in the public health sector working for a federal agency. My experience during the Leadership Program, cemented my interest in this field and convinced me to pursue my MPH concurrently with my DVM. I hope to work in a position that will let me facilitate a better understanding of one health and serve as a resource on emerging zoonotic diseases.
