Growing up in a military family gave me the opportunity to experience many different cultures and beliefs first hand. I was born in Marquette, Michigan, but did not reside there for long before my family began moving. I got to spend time in many places, including Saudi Arabia, England, France, and Germany. When my dad retired from the army, we moved to Georgia where I currently attend school. I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia, where I majored in animal science. While in my undergraduate program, I worked for the neurology and ophthalmology services in UGA’s Small Animal Teaching Hospital. After my junior year of undergraduate studies, I was fortunate enough to be accepted into UGA’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where I now attend.
When I am not studying, I enjoy grilling and spending time with friends and family.
After graduating with my DVM, I hope to get a rotating internship and then a residency in neurology. My ultimate goal is to stay in academia as a boarded neurologist so that I can still care for patients, teach, and conduct research.
