I grew up in Forst, a rural town near Berlin. Because of my deep interest in Biology and Chemistry, I started a practical training as a biological laboratory assistant at Bayer Health Care Pharmaceuticals in Berlin after high school. During my training period, I learned the many important basics of lab work and gained experience in several different departments of the corporation. After my training I started working in a research lab of Pediatric Cardiology at the Charite Berlin where I learned more about the fundamentals of research outside of industry. Since the beginning of my veterinary studies at Freie Universität, Berlin, I had continued working there as collegiate auxiliary force and assisted postgraduates in lab work for the first two years. Recently I am employed as a tutor at the institute of veterinary biochemistry in our vet school. This summer I willcomplete my third year at Freie Universität Berlin.
Outdoor activities like hiking, jogging, swimming, inline skating, bicycling and so on are great - I love to be outside as much as possible. In winter I enjoy skiing and ice skating. I like to spend my few spare time with my boyfriend, friends and family (especially with my younger sister and my little neeth). I`m very fond of children and animals. Other interests are cooking and baking, travelling to new places with my boyfriend. And I love music - if it was possible, I would hear music all the day.
After receiving my veterinary degree in 2014 I want to complete my doctoral dissertation maybe at the institute of veterinary biochemistry. I`m very interested in cell signaling and pharmacology, so it could be a strong part of my research career. I will set everything to it to achieve my goal of graduating with honors.
