Maddie's® Shelter Medicine Program at Cornell
Practicing herd health requires information about the nature and frequency of disease problems in shelter populations. Relatively little research has been published regarding either medical or behavioral problems, protocols, etc. in shelters. Research is an essential component to both the training and service aspects of this program. Research in the Maddie's® Program focuses on research questions directly relevant to Adoption Guarantee shelters.
