Background: I was born in South Africa and moved to Sydney, Australia when I was four. My memories of South Africa are few and I am keen to soon return and see the amazing wildlife and landscape. I chose to study veterinary science after high school with an aim to work with wild life, in research and conservation. Since starting university I have loved almost every aspect of the degree and, with only six months to go, am having increasing difficulty choosing a career path for myself. Interests: I am always enthusiastic to play team sports, despite completely lacking in athletic ability. I love summer in Sydney - swimming, lying on the beach and eating ice cream. I also love to read and am a keen (and appalling) swing dancer. Career Goal: There are such diverse opportunities for us and at this stage I still want to do it all! Ultimately I hope to work as both a clinician and researcher, with my main interest being feline medicine. I am also keen to teach future vets and travel the world while I work. |
