Background: I was born in 1980 in the Netherlands. Im studying Veterinary Medicine at Utrecht University and in September 2006 I hope to graduate. The previous 4 years of my Master of Veterinary Science I developed an interest in veterinary research and I was able to follow an extra program in research training. In this year I combined clinical work with basic research on canine osteosarcoma. It was a great experience that consolidated my initial interest in a research career. Interests: Horse-riding, Latin American dance, music, going out with friends, boardgames, sea-sailing. Career Goal: After finishing my rotations I am keen to become a PhD student, preferably in combination with a residency. My special interest goes out to internal medicine and especially veterinary oncology of companion animals. |
