Background: My home is Byron Bay, on the NSW far north coast, a beautiful part of the world. I spent most of my spare time at the beach running, swimming and playing with my dog and exploring the coast. I attended the local primary and high schools and was involved in many sports including swimming, cross-country running and surf lifesaving. After school I went to Brisbane, Queensland, for uni and am currently in 4th year. I manage to get home to the beach (a 2hr drive) on as many weekends as possible and in the holidays.

Interests: I am passionate about environmental conservation and love being in the great outdoors, enjoying nature, with family and friends. Marine turtle protection particularly interests me. I enjoy sport, especially waterpolo and swimming. Also, reading a book on the beach or in my hammock under the eucalyptus trees. Live Australian music ~ The Cat Empire!!

Career Goal: It changes annually ~ there's so many things I'd like to try, and do! Currently, I can see myself in a career researching the control of feral animals in Australia (e.g. with CSIRO), or the management of them (e.g. DPI, Dept of Ag). But anything that involves the outdoors and working towards an environmental outcome will make me happy! Maybe an educational/teaching role later down the track ??
