Background: My wish to become a veterinarian evolved rather early while I was growing up in a small rural town in Germany. Now being a third year student at the School of Veterinary Medicine in Hannover, Germany, I have discovered lot s of interesting aspects of veterinary science besides clinical medicine. I am looking forward to getting involved in a research project at Cornell and to a summer rich in new experiences! Interests: I enjoy all kinds of outdoor sports, especially dog sledding when I get the chance. My favourite hobbies indoors are playing music, reading and baking Career Goal: After finishing my veterinary education, I would like to work towards a Ph.D. degree in North America. That would be a good basis for prospective activities in the fields of neuroscience and neurology, either in research or in practice, at best a combination of both. |
