Cornell Summer Research and Leadership Program
Stuart Davenport
The University of Edinburgh
Background -
I hail from rural Warwickshire where I have lived all of my life. I hold an intercalated degree in Veterinary Pathology from the Royal Veterinary College, London which involved a research project on the synergy between chemodrugs and oncolytic viruses in targeting late-stage androgen independent prostate carcinomas. During the summer of 2008 I worked on potential retroviral involvement in canine lymphoma at Cambridge University while participating in their summer research program.
Interests - I am interested in current affairs, country pursuits, breeding poultry (Aylesbury ducks and Ancona bantams) and a variety of sports including Rugby Union and football. I also have a whippet called Wilf.
Career Goals - I hope that my time at Cornell will allow me to root out a career that is both challenging and rewarding. |
