Clinical Pharmacology

The major area of research interest in our laboratory is veterinary clinical pharmacology. The primary goal is to establish a rational basis for the use of drugs in veterinary patients. Attention has been focused on comparative pharmacokinetic studies in domestic animals, particularly developmental pharmacokinetic changes in neonates. The laboratory also performs therapeutic drug monitoring in veterinary patients and methods to optimize this valuable method of determining appropriate therapeutic regimes are being investigated.
