Bioengineering to Optimize Monoclonal Antibodies for Passive Immunotherapy

Abstract
DESCRIPTION (provided by applicant): The overall objective of this proposal is to develop a new system for generating and optimizing human monoclonal neutralizing antibodies against select agents, as a platform for immunotherapy in humans against a wide range of pathogens. We propose a strategy that will lend flexibility in responding to new organisms and thereby enhance our ability to respond quickly to the urgent need for immunotherapy against a growing number of emerging pathogens.
