Animal Behavior Clinic The Animal Behavior Clinic functions to help owners solve behavior problems of their companion animals. Common problems are stud-like behavior in geldings and foal rejection in horses, aggression or destructiveness by dogs and house soiling or aggression in cats. Appointments must be made in advance and take approximately 1 hour for horses, 2 hours for dogs and one hour for cats. The problem will be diagnosed and the owner instructed on methods to reduce the frequency and severity of the problem. If necessary, drugs will be prescribed. A letter outlining the treatment will be sent to the referring veterinarian. Fees:
- Canine Cases (Saturdays available) $190 for hospital call - House calls in the Ithaca area are available: $190 for dogs and $91 for cats - Cases outside of Ithaca are available. Because of increased overhead for these appointments, they are billed based on location:
Payment arrangements can be made through the ABC in the form of check or cash (please request a receipt if needed).
