Graduate Record Exam
When you apply for the DVM degree program at Cornell, you can take either the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or the Medical College Application Test (MCAT- see below). For the GRE's, we use the Verbal score & percentile and the Quantitative score & percentile only. You can take the exam more than once and we will use the best verbal score and the best quantitative score (and they do not need to be from the same test). These scores cannot be more than 5 years old.
GRE scores should to be sent directly to our office from the Educational Testing Service. The College of Veterinary Medicine's GRE College Code is 2549.
If you did not request your scores to be sent to us when taking the test, please contact the Educational Testing Service (ETS) to request your scores using the above college code.
IMPORTANT NOTE about GRE's:
GRE's should be taken by the end of September 2012 for us to receive scores in time for the October 16th Cornell Supplemental Application deadline. (Class of 2017).

Medical College Application Test
Medical College Application Test (MCAT)scores can be obtained by going to the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). The College of Veterinary Medicine's MCAT College Code is 993.
Advanced Placement
If you took an Advanced Placement (AP) test for Chemistry and/or Physics you will need to have the College Board send us your scores. The College of Veterinary Medicine's AP College Code is 4818.
Test of English for a Foreign Language
International applicants must submit a Test of English for a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score if educated in a country English is not the first, official language. The minimum scores required are 600 (paper-based); 100 (Internet-based); or 250 (computer-based). The College of Veterinary Medicine's TOEFL College Code is 1510.
