Application Procedures for All Applicants

All applicants to Cornell's DVM program must apply through VMCAS & self-initiate Cornell's Supplemental Application.

(Check or money order payable to Cornell University)

Letters of Evaluation

Minimum of 3 required to be included with application. VMCAS will accept additional evaluations. All materials sent to VMCAS will be forwarded to Cornell.

Any evaluations you do not include with your VMCAS application can be sent/emailed to the DVM Admissions Office. There is no need to duplicate letters sent through VMCAS. Additional evaluations beyond required evaluations for animal/veterinary experiences and the academic evaluation are optional.

College Transcripts

Have official transcripts sent directly to the DVM Admissions Office from each college you have attended.
DO NOT SEND TRANSCRIPTS YOURSELF, but ask your college to send them directly to our Admissions Office.

GRE or MCAT Test Scores

Have GRE score report sent directly from ETS to school code 2549 (for the DVM degree program only)

or

MCAT score report to school code 993 (for the DVM degree program only)

TOEFL Scores

(International applicants must also submit a TOEFL score of at least 600 or higher if educated in a country where English is not the first, official language.)

Optional:

Prerequisite Substitution Form(s) should be sent or emailed to the DVM Admissions office by September 15th for approval. If approved, you would note this in 'Section 4, Required Courses' on the Cornell Supplemental Application.

AP Scores: If you took an AP test for Chemistry or Physics and scored a 4 or 5, have the College Board send official scores to college code 4818 (for the DVM degree program only).
