The Department of Clinical Sciences of the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a post-DVM, three-year term appointment as an Instructor in support of the curriculum in the College of Veterinary Medicine. The successful candidate will provide support for a series of six courses within Animals, Veterinarians and Society (Foundation Course VII) and will assist with all laboratory components and affiliated elective courses of Foundation Course VII and with Foundation Course V (Animal Health and Disease). The successful candidate will work independently, with a faculty curriculum design group, course leaders and individual faculty. Specific duties include scheduling and organizing Foundation Course VII (a multi-year course with lectures and laboratories on a variety of topics); providing logistical support for faculty; developing, administering, and grading examinations; developing, administering, and distributing course evaluations and responses; developing, revising, and distributing course materials; serving as coordinator for laboratory exercises and instructing in many of them; working within a variety of educational laboratory settings with faculty, students, and technical staff. Candidate must have a desire to teach and interact with veterinary students and a strong commitment to providing the highest quality education.
