Service: VTMED 5602 Small Animal Medicine
Reporting Time (for first day of rotation): The Medicine Orientation begins at 8:00am (C2-106). NOTE: Students are required to attend the CAH Scheduling/Admissions/Discharge orientation at 7:30am in CAH Admissions the first day of your rotation, unless you have previously been through the orientation while attending SA Surgery or SAECC before.

Advance Reading (or Video Review) Required: Review the SA Internal Med Service 2-2011 student orientation expections and the MEDICINE EXPECTATIONS FOR SOAPS prior to starting your rotation.

Instruments or Special Equipment Needed: Simple calculator, stethoscope, hemostats, bandage scissors, highlighter, penlight, pen and a notepad to keep track of cases and information acquired while on service.
Additional Comments: An reminder to read the handouts about the SAM service and Medicine Expectations for SOAPS will be sent to you via email one week before your rotation. Please review it before orientation.
