Resource Management and Support Services

The mission of Resource Management and Support Services (RMSS)
is to provide leadership, staff expertise and support for the faculty, staff and executive leadership of the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) in the management of human and financial resources, facilities and the physical infrastructure, and information technology, in a manner that is proactive, customer oriented, and value added.

RMSS at the College of Veterinary Medicine includes the Accounting Service Center, Budget and Planning, Facilities Administration, Information Technology and Human Resources. Our goal is to continually strive toward being the leader in setting university model office standards for these areas as visionary resource managers and exemplary service providers for the College's academic, administrative and service units.

The Accounting Service Center provides accounting support and oversight through centralized transaction processing, development and implementation of best business practices, as well as providing routine and/or ad hoc reports and analyses.

Budget and Planning is responsible for all phases of the annual college-wide budget process, ongoing funds management, and institutional research, planning, and analysis.

Facilities Administration provides management oversight for CVM's facilities infrastructure, including project management for construction and renovation, facilities maintenance, building security, environmental safety and shipping and receiving services.

Information Technology at CVM focuses on stable and secure centralized systems and servers, strategic IT planning, exploration of new technologies and software solutions and desktop support.

Human Resources supports all aspects of employment at CVM, including recruitment, retention, performance management, compensation, organizational and professional development, employee relations, and development and/or implementation of policies, procedures and (legal) guidelines.
