ALBIZIA POISONING IN RUMINANTS
 
Description    ALBIZIA are toxic to ruminants. The toxic principle is found in seeds and pods; death can occur very suddenly following ingestion.
 
Species   Bovine, Caprine, Ovine
 
Signs   Abnormal behavior, aggression, changing habits, Ataxia, Cyanosis, Dullness, Dysmetria, Dyspnea, Excessive salivation, Excitement, Fever, Hyperesthesia, Inability to stand, Increased respiratory rate, Nystagmus, Opisthotonus, Seizures or syncope, Sudden death
