SESBANIA, BAGPOD, RATTLEBOX, POISONING IN RUMINANTS
 
Description    Plants of the genus SESBANIA, such as S. VESICARIA (bagpod) and S. DRUMMONII (rattlebox) can cause gastrointestinal irritation and diarrhea in ruminants that eat the beans and pods when other forage is in short supply; signs develop within several days of consumption.

Signs   Anorexia, Dehydration, Diarrhea, Dullness, Generalized weakness, Rumen hypomotility or atony, Sudden death
