ORGANIC ARSENICAL, 3-NITRO, TOXICITY IN BIRDS
 
Description    Organic arsenicals are marketed as feed additives for turkeys and chickens. Accidental overdoses can occur. Following an outbreak of ulcerative cholecystitis due to an overdose of 3-nitro-4-hydroxy-phenylarsonic acid (3-nitro), experimental studies reproduced this syndrome.
