COLCHICINE TOXICITY IN DOGS
 
Description    Colchicine is an alkaloid of the plant COLCHICUM AUTUMNALE used as treatment for human diseases. Accidental ingestion was followed by clinical signs in a dog.

Signs   Bloody stools, feces, hematochezia, Bradycardia, Dehydration, Diarrhea, Dullness, Hematuria, Hypothermia, Inability to stand, Melena or occult blood in feces, stools, Pale, Prolonged capillary refill time, Red or brown urine, Seizures or syncope, Vomiting or regurgitation
