ADONIS MICROCARPA (PHEASANT'S EYE) POISONING IN PIGS
 
Description    Seeds of ADONIS MICROCARPA included accidentally in the diet of pigs in Australia caused feed refusal, vomiting and deaths and the syndrome was reproduced experimentally.

Signs   Anorexia, Dullness, Dyspnea, Excessive salivation, Increased respiratory rate, Lack of growth or weight gain, Sudden death, Underweight, poor condition, thin, emaciated, unthriftiness, ill thrift, Vomiting or regurgitation, Weight loss
