HOPS, HUMULUS LUPULUS, POISONING IN DOGS
 
Description    Hops, HUMULUS LUPULUS, are used for brewing beer. There are reports of malignant-hyperthermia-like episodes in dogs that had ingested hops.

Signs   Abnormal behavior, aggression, changing habits, Colic, Congestion oral mucous membranes, Dyspnea, Excitement, Fever, Flatulence, Hyperesthesia, Increased respiratory rate, Pain on external abdominal pressure, Red or brown urine, Seizures or syncope, Tachycardia, Vomiting or regurgitation
