ONION, ALLIUM, POISONING IN BIRDS
 
Description    Pet birds can be exposed to onion and garlic, Allium spp. While Heinz body formation is possible in avian species it is not a common finding in Allium toxicity. Birds might develop anemia, anisocytosis, and an increased reticulocyte count.
