Description
The Department of Population Medicine and Diagnostic Sciences of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University invites applications for a renewable faculty appointment as the Director of Clinical Programs in the Maddie's Shelter Medicine Program. The shelter medicine program currently has an epidemiologist, an animal behaviorist, a program coordinator, a computer support specialist and positions for two residents. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for clinical instruction of residents and veterinary students and for clinical outreach to animal shelters.
Candidates must have a DVM or equivalent degree with at least 3 years of clinical experience. Completion of a Shelter Medicine Residency, board certification by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners or American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine or (or equivalent experience) is preferred. Experience in a shelter environment is preferred.
Salary and title will be commensurate with academic credentials and experience.
