Equine Medicine Research and Training Program Overview

 

The Equine Medicine Research Group at Cornell University seeks applicants from outstanding veterinarians with an interest is pursuing postgraduate research leading to the PhD degree. Current programs are marked by particular strengths in immunology, respiratory function and disease, and reproductive biology, with funding from the NIH and USDA and unique animal and laboratory resources. The associated faculty have an excellent record of training veterinarians in interdisciplinary investigations on important issues in equine physiology and disease. Cornell offers an exceptional environment for research on horses within the context of a leading research university with major programs in genomics, bioinformatics and computational biology, biomedical engineering, biophysics, and chemical biology.
