Making a difference

At the College of Veterinary Medicine, people who care deeply about animals are working for the health and welfare of animals and people everywhere. There are many creative ways to support the College of Veterinary Medicine and a variety of giving opportunities.

We provide medical care for all kinds of animals.
Each year our veterinarians treat more than 55,000 animals - pets, farm animals, wildlife, zoo animals and exotic species. Our medical staff uses the newest technologies and advanced techniques in medicine and surgery to assure the best health care for all of our animals patients. The hospital also provides medical care for complex cases referred by veterinarians throughout the United States.

Our discoveries benefit the health of people too.
So much of the work we do at the College has direct benefits for humans as well as animals. We are making discoveries to help in the fight of many diseases and conditions including arthritis, cancer, heart disease, and blindness, and infectious diseases like West Nile virus, Lyme disease, tuberculosis and rabies. We also are working to ensure safe food and drinking water.

Become our partner by making a gift today.
Take your love of animals further. Our work depends, in large part, on private donations from people just like you. Friends from all over the country have become our partners in funding many of our programs - programs that could not continue without their support. You, too, can help by making a tax-deductible donation today! Your gift might be just what the doctor ordered.
