Prior to attending veterinary school at Cornell, John Loftus earned a BS in Animal Science, then a PhD in veterinary immunology from UMass, Amherst. After graduating from Cornell in 2012, he completed a rotating internship at the Cornell University Hospital for Animals. As a nutrition resident, Dr. Loftus is particularly interested in dietary responsive diseases, dietary modification of immune responses and obesity prevention and management. He has broad interests in veterinary medicine and is also particularly interested in internal medicine, oncology and immunology. He shares his home with his wife, a Corgi, two cats, a parrot and 6 chickens.
