Heidi Reesink, VMD, PhD, Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons - Large Animal

 

Dr. Reesink is a board-certified large animal surgeon with clinical interests in large animal orthopedic surgery, equine sports medicine, lameness and emergency surgery.  Dr. Reesink’s research laboratory aims to unravel basic mechanisms underlying the development of orthopedic disease and to pioneer innovative therapies for the treatment of joint injury and arthritis in equine and human athletes.  Heidi is interested in translating novel research discoveries, including regenerative medicine, stem cell therapy, and lubricin therapy, to equine clinical patients with musculoskeletal disease.
