Wade Walker, a surgery resident at Cornell's Equine and Farm Animal Hospital, hails from southern California. Growing up in a family of veterinarians, Dr. Walker developed an affinity for veterinary medicine from a young age. Working on his family ranch in central California, he quickly became interested in horsemanship and working ranch horses. He went to Colorado State University where he achieved an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. During this time, he worked at the Equine Orthopedic Research Center. He completed an internship at Arizona Equine Medical and Surgical Centre after graduation prior to starting his residency. His current interests include surgery, lameness, and orthopedics.
