Trixie visited Cornell's Farm Animal Dentistry Service in 2012 for evaluation and treatment of suspected dental disease, which is common in this breed. Complete dental cleaning and polishing were performed, followed by extraction of diseased teeth as well as a procedure to encourage eruption of all of the remaining adult teeth. The day after surgery Trixie appeared normal and ate readily. Happily, a couple of months after her dental work was performed, Trixie's owner reports that she is doing great at home.
