What is VetAccess?
VetAccess is a fee-based customized research and document delivery service
that provides rapid and easy access to information contained in the Flower-Sprecher
Veterinary Library, an internationally recognized collection of materials in
veterinary medicine and the biomedical sciences.
The library houses nearly 100,000 printed volumes, 1,000 current periodicals,
1,500 audio-visual titles, and a rich collection of historical and basic research
resources.
Who Can Use VetAccess?
Practicing veterinarians, researchers, animal or pet owners, or simply people
with a passion for up-to-date information on all aspects of veterinary medicine
can use VetAccess.

How Does VetAccess Work?
We research your topic, then forward the response or articles by mail, phone,
fax, e-mail, or express delivery, as appropriate.
Research and Literature Search Services
Our professional library staff, using a list of journal citations on your subject
interest, the published literature, article databases, and other resources,
helps you find relevant information and answers your questions. You may then
request copies of articles as needed.
Document Delivery/Photocopies:
We provide journal articles and book excerpts from the extensive collection
held by the Veterinary Library in accordance with copyright law.
Once we receive your request and payment, we will do our best to process your
question within several business days. Questions are done in the order in which
they are received. If your question was sent at night or over a weekend, holiday,
or semester break, it may take us somewhat longer to respond. If your request
is urgent, please let us know.

VetAccess provides information on animal health and disease-related topics
for companion and farm animals as well as exotic pets and wildlife, including:

What are the VetAccess Fees?
Research and Literature Search Services
· $135.00 per hour (1/2 hour minimum, 1/2 hour increments)
· $125.00 per hour for Cornell Alumni
Document Delivery/Photocopies
· Copy of article/excerpt: $30 per article (includes copyright royalty
fee)
Delivery Costs
· Postage & handling: $5.00/envelope ($10.00 International)
· FAX delivery: $1.50/page ($2.50 International)
· Express delivery: $10.00/envelope ($15.00 International)
Other Costs
· Rush surcharge: $10.00
