The sometimes forgotten victims of Hurricane Katrina are the pets, horses, livestock and other animals left without homes, food or shelter as their human companions have evacuated. Cornell's College of Veterinary Medicine is working closely with Louisiana State University as they are on the front line of rescue and care efforts for pets and other animals.
