Dr. Alfonso Torres reappointed Associate Dean for Public Policy
Dean Michael Kotlikoff is pleased to announce the reappointment of Dr.
Alfonso Torres as Associate Dean for Public Policy, providing oversight of
interactions between the College of Veterinary Medicine and programs
related to animal health at the state and federal levels. In addition, Dr.
Torres coordinates international programs and academic initiatives in
public health and wildlife health. He is executive sponsor of the Animal
Health Diagnostic Center building (currently in the planning stages),
represents the interests of the college before professional veterinary
organizations, and serves on university committees concerned with
international programs, global health, and emergency management. Professor
Torres teaches and consults on animal health public policy matters as a
world expert on foreign and emerging animal diseases.
