To be Featured at Cornell Farrier's Conference
Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine will host its 21st annual Farrier's Conference Nov. 13-14, 2004. Philippe Benoit, DVM, will speak on a variety of topics related to imaging, diagnostics, and shoeing. Benoit will also discuss common injuries and pathologies in elite jumpers and other performance horses.
Benoit was the veterinarian to the French Olympic team at the 2004 Games recently held in Greece. Well known for his ability to blend medicine, biomechanics, and shoeing techniques to improve performance, Benoit will give several lectures during the conference. His topics include "Imaging Normal and Abnormal Images," "Shoeing the High Level Jumper," and
"Observing Competition and Understanding most Jumper Pathologies." In addition, the conference will also have sessions on the use of onion heel shoes, new adhesives and other innovative shoe technologies.
