Video Teleconferencing (VTC) College of Veterinary Medicine
The VTC is available throughout the year, and can accommodate groups up to 30 people (conference seating is available for 15). It is open to the entire Cornell community. However, scheduling priority will be given to individuals or groups affiliated with the College of Veterinary Medicine. All users will be charged a booking fee of $50, in addition to hourly usage fees, which cover network charges, room use, and on-site technical support.

The College's VTC suite uses IP-based videoconferencing technology. This technology uses internet connections, and allows reasonable cost estimates to be determined in advance. By partnering with CIT, we are also able to provide access to remote sites via ISDN (dedicated phone lines). ISDN lines incur additional long distance charges, which can be difficult to predict and add significantly to the cost of the videoconference. Regardless of the connection your videoconference requires, we will do our best to provide an accurate estimate of costs at the time you book your videoconference.
Videoconferences can be a cost effective solution for meetings, seminars, symposia, colloquia, conferences, interviews, consulting, or interactive training.

Members of the Veterinary college community will be charged according to the following schedule:
Reservation fee: $50
Point to point IP-based event: $100/hr
Note, events requiring connection to multiple sites: additional charges of $30 per hour for each site connected via IP and $45 per hour for connection via ISDN. (The CIT connection via IP counts as an additional site, and will be billed at $30 per hour.)
Users outside the Veterinary college community will be charged according to the following schedule:
Reservation fee: $50 per hour
Point to point IP-based event: $200/hr
Note, events requiring connection to multiple sites: additional charges of $30 per hour for each site connected via IP and $45 per hour for connection via ISDN.
The College's VTC is equipped to provide point to point IP based videoconferences. For events requiring connection to multiple sites, or connection via ISDN lines, we will collaborate with CIT to provide the necessary technical assistance. College staff will make all technical arrangements for your videoconference, regardless of whether you use IP or ISDN technology. Additional services such as recording and storage for web delivery are also available through collaboration with CIT.
