Graduate Application/admissions Timeline
August: Application available online at www.gradschool.cornell.edu
August –October: Take the GRE and TOEFL test in order to ensure that your official scores arrive by the application deadline. Choose faculty to write letters of recommendation; ask them to submit the letter by December 1.
October – November: Monitor your application status on the application site to make sure that your transcripts and letters of recommendation have been received by the deadline.
December 1: Application deadline – all materials should be received by the Office of Graduate Education by this date.
December 8-15: Admissions Committees review applications.
By December 19: Recruitment Event invitations will be extended to domestic candidates who are being considered for admission; international applicants being considered for admission will be contacted for internet interview(s).
February 5-8: Recruitment/Interview Event
February 28 : Admissions decisions announced.
April 15: All responses to admissions offers should be received by this date. Earlier responses are encouraged as they allow us to plan for the academic year and/or make offers to others who are placed on an alternate list.
