Transcripts:
Official transcripts from all previous colleges must be submitted,
detailing the courses taken, grades and/or degrees received and
G.P.A. (required by all Fields).
GRE scores:
Official GRE general test scores are required by all Fields. These
must be sent directly from ETS to the Cornell Graduate School
(university code 2098, department code ). Some Fields may suggest or require
the subject test; applicants should check the individual Field
pages for more information (General GRE test required by
all Fields).
TOEFL:
For students whose first language is not English, official TOEFL
scores are required; a student is expected to achieve a score
of at least 550 on the paper-based test, at least 213 on the computer-based test or minimum scores of Writing 20, Reading 20, Listening 15, Speaking 22 on the internet-based test. These must be sent directly to the Cornell Graduate School (university code 2098) from ETS (required
by all Fields).
Letters of Recommendation:
Letter should come from persons with knowledge of the student's
abilities in academics and research. Letters should be accompanied
by the Recommendation Form which can be downloaded from the Internet or submitted on-line through the Embark system (the applicant will have the opportunity to send notification to recommenders as part of the application process). Please note:. The Field of Pharmacology
requires three letters of recommendation;
Fields of Comparative Biomedical Sciences, Immunology, Molecular & Integrative Physiology and Zoology require two).
Applicants with a DVM or equivalent:
Holders of a D.V.M. or equivalent degree, who are interested in
applying to the graduate program, should follow the admissions
instructions listed on the DVM Graduate Studies Program.
The admissions deadline is December 1 for admission in the fall semester
of the following year.

Interview/Recruitment Weekend
Domestic applicants being considered for admission to the Biological and Biomedical Sciences Program
will be asked to attend an Interview/Recruitment Weekend February 7-10, 2010. International applicants may be asked to make themselves available for a web interview.
