Cornell offers a unique environment for graduate studies for veterinarians, as it combines the strengths of a research-oriented veterinary college with nationally recognized basic research programs in the physical sciences, engineering, and life sciences.

As a leader in both veterinary education and biological and biomedical research, the College of Veterinary Medicine is committed to supporting veterinarians who are interested in developing or broadening their scientific knowledge and research skills through further education.  The College has established the Veterinary Research Training Oversight Committee whose charge is to oversee post-DVM research training at the College to ensure quality and continuity in these programs.

If you have a veterinary degree, Cornell provides you a number of excellent opportunities to gain research experience and skills.

Here is a brief overview of what we offer veterinarians interested in research in the biological and biomedical sciences.
