Research Interests

My research interests are infectious diseases. I'm interested in proteomic and genomic characterization and fingerprinting of bacterial pathogens including Salmonella, E. coli, Streptococcus sp, Clostridia sp, Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale etc. Another major area of interest is the changing epidemiology of antimicrobial resistance and dispersion of successful clones of multidrug resistant (MDR) bacteria. My past research work includes diagnostic assay development, assay validation, vaccine development & testing and pathogenesis studies on Clostridium septicum, Clostridium perfringens, Salmonella, E coli, Ornithobacterium, Avian metapneumovirus, Infectious bronchitis virus and Porcine deltacoronavirus.
