Research Interests
Dr. Evans' research concened the replacement of teeth in fishes, the anatomy of reptiles, the respiratory system of birds, plant-induced cyclopia in sheep, fetal development of the dog and the Anatomy of tropical fishes. His most recent work includes the third edition of "Miller's Anatomy of the Dog" (1993), the fourth edition of "Millers Guide to the Dissection of the Dog" (1996 with Dr. de Lahunta), and the third edition of "Anatomy of the Budgerigar and Other Birds" (1996). For the past 20 summers Dr. Evans has taught one week of invertebrates, fish, and birds in the Aquavet course at the Marine Biology Lab at Woods Hole, Massachusetts. He has also taught at the Shoals Marine Lab and in the Envirovet Course at Duluth, Minn. In the new veterinary curriculum he teaches a distribution course in the "Literature of Natural History".
