Title: Dairy Farm Worker Training: Chemical Handling, Infectious
Disease Control, Biosecurity, Ergonomics, and Rural Road Safety

This project will provide hands-on training for dairy farm workers addressing hazard communication, emerging infectious disease issues, biosecurity protocols, ergonomic issues related to manual labor tasks, and farm travel safety. These specific topics were chosen because they present hazards that are increasingly affecting the health and safety of this underserved population. Training sessions will be held on dairy farms with an emphasis on demonstration and practice of skills and techniques that will improve safe work practices which will result in a reduction of injuries. Trainings will be reinforced with bilingual posters for participating farms and handouts for workers.
