DESCRIPTION (provided by applicant): Eye problems, such as conjunctivitis and keratitis are common in cats and are usually chronic or recurrent, which can pose a lifetime problem for the animal. Infectious agents are the predominant cause, with Feline herpesvirus type 1 (FHV-1) and Feline calicivirus (FCV) as important viral pathogens and Chlamydia felis (C. felis) and Mycoplasma felis (M. felis) as the two most prevalent bacteria.
