Provides support for the faculty, including:

  • Faculty development activities
  • Consulting on matters related to teaching, learning, and curriculum design
  • Development of curriculum materials
  • Evaluation of teaching and learning
  • Oversight of educational facilities (classrooms, laboratories)
  • Educational computing and technologies

Provide administrative support to standing committees of the faculty: the Admissions Committee. Responsible for annual College events and programs, including:

  • Leads the development, execution and assessment of a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy for the College
  • Works collaboratively with the College’s hospital, specialty clinics and diagnostic center to increase their visibility and support revenue and caseload goals
  • Launches strategies to further strengthen and expand our relationships with referring veterinarians
  • In collaboration with Office of Alumni Affairs & Development, creates and executes a strategy and communications plan that clearly supports fundraising 
  • Provides the Office of Student & Academic Services (including Admissions) with the marketing support they need to achieve their goals
  • Leads and oversees media relations, internal communications, publications, and web development
  • Initiates and manages market research initiatives
  • Leads the development, execution and continued enhancement of the CVM’s social media and digital communications strategy
  • Develops and maintains database and measurement tools to assess effectiveness of marketing activities.
  • Evaluates and implements business customer retention marketing tactics and opportunities as base grows.

  • Alumni Affairs and Development programs that increase participation, involvement and financial support for the college.
  • College-wide fund raising programs, including individual giving, Annual Fund, corporate and foundation support and planned giving.
  • Alumni Affairs and Development efforts involving prominent programs such as the Cornell University Hospital for AnimalsBaker Institute, and Feline Health Center.
  • Alumni Association and College Advisory Council.
  • Alumni and Development events and programs including Reunion, alumni and affiliate receptions, homecoming, faculty speakers, as well as fundraising and donor recognition events.
