Every year, the Veterinary Public Health Association, a student organization within the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, hosts a Veterinary Public Health Symposium. This year, the format will be short talks, followed by interactive panel discussions on topics in public health such as planetary health, herd health (from the perspective of wildlife conservation, food animal production, and shelter medicine), and mental health. Dr. W. Ron DeHaven, who recently retired as CEO of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), will deliver the keynote address. Our ultimate goal is to hold an interdisciplinary symposium that sparks conversation and collaboration and expands people’s perception of what veterinary medicine can be.
Veterinary students, undergraduates, graduate and professional students, and professionals should all find the symposium to be engaging intellectual fare.
Early Registration (through September 1): $35
